Leadership Moves helps teams be more connected and perform better, using partner movement to explore how your team leads, follows, and communicates. The Lead | Follow Framework was developed by a senior business leader, for business professionals — inspired by dance, and a fascination with how people work together.
With the people they lead, with peers, with the people they report to. We rarely stop to think about what we're actually doing in each role, or what we owe the other person.
This session allows every team member to experience both roles in a unique way, creating more self-awareness and empathy for each other.
In movement, you feel it in seconds — which is why what your team learns here actually sticks.
Each person experiences how they show up under pressure: when they step up to lead, when they ease back to follow, and how automatic it all is.
Each person feels what it's like in the other role — to lead, and to be led. You come away understanding how it can feel for the people you work with: the kind of empathy you can only get by experiencing it, which subtly leads to changes in how you treat each other.
The team leaves with a shared understanding and language for how it works together — its unique “corporate dance”. This is documented alongside the facilitator's outside-in observations of the day and a short agenda you can run with the team yourself as follow-up, so what happened in the room gets picked up again rather than quietly filed.
This is about experiencing Leadership! Seemingly simple moves surface the subtle but essential nuances of effective leading and following. The workshop allowed everyone on the team to experience each other in both roles, enabling us to develop a joint picture of how to work as a high-performance team while having fun together.
